The next time you are at Wal-Mart or any other retail store or even at the Dr. Office grab a magazine and look at what the media deems as "acceptable, or sexy." This image above is very unrealistic and the headline is ridiculous "BANG!" I feel they portray guns as a look more then a deadly weapon and lack to tell you that the guns have nothing to do with the magazine. As a gun owner myself I would probably grab this magazine over others, because I am a gun owner and a girl that is into guns or isn't afraid to be around them is kind of sexy. Also, if you notice that captions all over the cover have nothing to do with the picture they are showing. I feel this magazine is only trying to lure men in. However the magazine on the bottom tells me that the Media says women are suppose to be certain figure. Also, this magazine tells me that if you aren't in that hour glass shape you should be working on it. To me thats bull because I go to college, work full time and have a personal life; in another words, it doesn't leave me much time to go work out and burn +400 calories a day. These magazines are ultimately a waste of time because neither of them support us in our current state but, convince us that we are "unfit," or we need to buy something in order to get that kind of girl. Instead of getting us to buy more nonsense stuff or change our body to "fit in," maybe the media should try encourage people to live happy and co-exists.
